Peridot was once mined by the Egyptians, and roughly 80% of it is now mined in Arizona. A newer pocket has been found in Pakistan. This stone was a favorite of Cleopatra and was regarded as a powerful protective stone to ward off evil spirits. Peridot is also used tp neutralize physical, emotional, or mental toxicity. It clears old life patterns to make room for new ones.
